Flotilla 24 COW a Success!

The Flotilla 24 Change of Watch (COW) Ceremony held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, was a success!  It was held at the Windward Hills residence of former COMO Frank Gumataotao.  A dinner followed by the swearing-in ceremony took place.  Deputy Sector Commander Sickels administered the oath for the new Guam Flotilla Officers.  Si Yu'os Ma'ase' to everyone who joined us for this special event!

*Masks were removed for picture-taking purposes & all members are fully vaccinated.

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the Virtual live meeting of the National Board of the Coast Guard Auxiliary to be live streamed. Admiral Linda L. Fagan, Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard and Vice Admiral Michael F. McAllister, Commander, Pacific Area and Coast Guard Defense Force West, USCG, will address the members.  Admiral Fagan assumed the duties as the 32^nd Vice Commandant on June 18^th, 2021. As the Vice Service Chief and Chief Operating Officer, Admiral Fagan executes the Commandant’s Strategic Intent, manages internal organizational governance and serves as the Component Acquisition Executive.  Vice Admiral McAllister assumed Command of Coast Guard Pacific Area in Alameda, California on June 30th 2021. He serves as the operational commander for all U.S. Coast Guard missions from the Rocky Mountains to the waters off the East Coast of Africa. He concurrently serves as Commander, Defense Force West and provides Coast Guard operational support to the Department of Defense and Combatant Commanders.

USCGC Commissioning Ceremony - July 29

The U.S. Coast Guard’s three newest Fast Response Cutters, Myrtle Hazard (WPC 1139), Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) and Frederick Hatch (WPC 1143) were commissioned July 29, 2021 at Coast Guard Forces Micronesia Sector Guam, during a special triple-commissioning ceremony presided over by Admiral Karl L. Schultz, the Coast Guard Commandant, District 14.  Enjoy the following snapshots and video clips taken during this meaningful event!
