There is a need for a variety of flyer/posters for our Program Visitors to use and post at their visit locations to help advertise all of the various Recreation Boating Safety outreach that the Auxiliary offers to the public.
To help fill this need, District 14’s DSO-PV, Adam Lipka, has created a contest with the approval of our District leadership for our members to design our first flyer / poster for use in our district during National Safe Boating Week this year. This first poster will be used for advertising Vessel Safety Checks. With the idea that they can be placed up at various locations prior to a Vessel Examiner "Ramp Watch' or "Dock Walk" event so that the public can be made aware of the location and time of such an event and possess sufficient information prior from the Auxiliary website or other resources to prepare to pass ahead of time.
All submissions should be made by the members via their Flotilla Commanders, who should review the submission prior to forwarding the submission to the DSO-PV via email at ofcalipka@yahoo.com. The contest is open to all District 14 Auxiliary members so please share this information with your shipmates.
