Legislative Resolution Presentation - May 25, 2019
A legislative resolution was presented by Senator Jose “Pedo” Toves Terlaje at the Agana Marina. The resolution was presented relative to recognizing and commending the Guam Safe Boating 2019 Planning Committee, for its local awareness for safer boating experiences; and to further acknowledging the week of May 18 to May 24, 2019, as “National Safe Boating Week.”

2019 National Safe Boating Week Display Event at the Agana Shopping Center - May 18
Kudos to the participating agencies/organizations that gathered together in celebration of the 2019 National Safe Boating Week on May 18, 2019 at the Agana Shopping Center. The agencies/organizations include the United States Coast Guard, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Guam Police Department, Guam Fire Department, Guam Customs and Quarantine, Guam Homeland Security, NOAA Weather, Guam Department of Agriculture Fisheries Section, Sea Grant, Coral Reef Marine Center, and Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council. Together, we can lower the incidence of boating accidents and ocean paddling fatalities! Enjoy the following NSBW snapshots:

NSBW Proclamation Signing - May 17
Friday, May 17, 2019 brought various safety law enforcement agencies together in celebration of the 2019 National Safe Boating Week. Kudos to the United States Coast Guard, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Guam Police Department, Guam Fire Department, NOAA, Port Authority of Guam, and Sea Grant for showing strong support during the proclamation signing of the NSBW. Other instrumental agencies/organizations/companies that will be joining us at the annual NSBW Display event on May 18, 2019 at the Agana Shopping Center include the following: Guam Customs and Quarantine, Guam Homeland Security, Guam Department of Agriculture’s Fisheries Section, US Navy-HSC-25, and Coral Reef.
